Day 321) Nail art star and moon

Today I just want to show one of my favourite glitter polishes for the Holidays (read: any Holiday).
Therefore the nail art is secondary but still tried to make something cute though.

China Glaze - Marry a Millionaire (3 coats)

Marry a Millionaire is a clear polish richly filled with different glitters.
There are purple and pink microglitter and a lot of multicolor/holo bar glitters.
This mix constantly changes in every different light, room, environment and you get totally lost in it...as does my camera ;P
Applying is quite easy as it spreads evenly and you don't have to fish for glitter.
Opaque wise it needs at least 3 coats (see picture above) but 4 is the best.
If you leave some drying time in between the coats (few minutes) you'll get the best outcome and easiest way for applying.
This nail polish is very suitable for a party or Holidays!!

Day 220) Nail art (North)star

Don't know what kind of state I was in when I purchased my last haul...but it is all glitter!
Not that this is a bad thing...I didn't have any. Good for my collection (read: good excuse).

Today another swatch and again of beautiful polish:

China Glaze - Water you waiting for

The base polish looks like a watery blue and then there is glitter!
Small hexagons, some bigger en the little small round ones.
They vary in colour from blue to green, to petrol, to teal.
The main colour I would describe as a kind of jeans blue.
However, this polish lives up to it's name; It looks like an ocean with different colours of blues and greens.
To be opaque 2 thin coats is enough (used on the picture above).

I chose this colour as my inspiration for today's nail art. Only not in the way that you would expect. I chose to see it more as a galaxy or ice colour (instead of water) and I really felt the urge to make a (North)star.
And here it is:

The star is white with a silver outline. In the centre I placed a round rhinestone.

Thanks for reading and your support!

Day 140) You're a star in Heaven

I'm not sure if it has been worldwide news, but it sure was national news.
On May 7th a father killed himself and a few hours before that he had picked up his two sons 'Ruben and Julian'.
After somebody had found the father's body the two boys were missing without a trace.
Hundreds of volunteers, the army and police looked for these boys for almost two weeks and yesterday they were finally found...dead
Today's nail art is dedicated to Ruben and Julian.
And I hope they finally have some peace in which turned out to be a huge family drama.

Dear Ruben and Julian
You're a star in Heaven!

Day 136) Dotted nails Rainbow

The weather is terrible in The Netherlands.
Nothing but rain, rain and more rain.
Time to compensate these dark days with of course a multicolored nail art: a rainbowy nail art to be precise.

Today I don't have a step-by-step.
I used a white nail polish as background for my nail art.
And for the artistic part I used only a dottingtool and a lot of nail polish colors ;-D

Some extra info that might be useful:
-On the ring finger I did an outline of rainbow dots
-On the pinky I placed dots that I pulled with my dottingtool into a teardrop shape. The pulling of dot into teardrop shape can also be done by using a wooden stick or something like that.

Hope you like it!
