Day 280) Jasper transfer foil

With my last order I decided to make it a round number and therefore Jasper transfer foil also got a chance ;D

This is what it looks like:

It actually transfers the same way on the nail but I think my nail picture doesn't do it justice.
It's a mix of silver, bronze and browns.
Perfect for fall!!!
Earlier this day I almost had a perfect transfer but didn't have time to take pictures.
I hadn't applied any topcoat so when I came to taking pictures I already had some tip wear (which is not odd with transfer foil).
I decided to paint the tips in a bronze because I didn't want to do the mani again.

Some parts are so shiny you can see yourself in it.
Because I want this mani to last till tomorrow I decided to use a topcoat...mostly not recommended by transfer foils.
But this time it made al tiny cracks in it which I kinda like...it gives a sort of tree bark look.

Day 258) Nail art gold holo glitter transfer foil dots

Today has been a very exhausting day.
Not only am I very tired, I also have a bad headache.
Nothing special today; just a nice beginner nail art.

First a swatch of a nail polish from the new limited edition of Pupa Milano:

Pupa Milano Iridescent nail polish 002 (blue)

This nail polish has a small brush. Positive is that this gives you the chance to polish perfect. Negative is that you'll need more strokes to cover the nail.
This polish has a perfect coverage with only 1 coat!!! And it dries very quickly.
The color can be compared to a duo chrome polish. Main color is blue accompanied by purple.
Both colors have a little glitter/glint.
Shown in normal position and without any special light the nail is blue with purple accents at the cuticles.
I'm in love with this color!!
And the picture doesn't do it justice at all (but as it's fall so the picture is taken indoors and with artificial light.

Now, for the nail art...something simple!
I bought some golden holo gitter transfer foil a while ago and I've really been wanting to try it out:

Golden holo glitter transfer foil + transfer foil glue

I used a dottingtool to make glue dots on the Nail:

The glue is milky at first and ready for use as it turns clear.
Then you can apply a little piece of transfer foil on the nail (printed side up!!) and gently rub it.
The transfer foil is transferred to the nail on the spots where you've painted the glue.

Day 147) Fast Foil Fun

Didn't get much sleep last night.
With 4 kids is a miracle if we get one full night of sleep per week.
Aches, illness and dreaming are our nighttly challenges.

I wanted to do an easy and fast nail art for today.
And...I found it!

Material I used:
From left to right:
*Essence Colour & Go - 141 Icy Princess
*Transfer foil glue
*Fan brush
*Transfer foil purple
-Something you can use as a palette
-Scissors

Step-by-step:
1) After the basecoat apply the silver glitter nail polish (Essence). I applied two thin coats.
2) Take the transfer foil glue and put some on your palette
3) Then take the fan brush and get some glue on it
4) Gently paint your nails with the fan brush and glue
For the thumb I did a vertical brush stripe. For the other fingers I brushed horizontal.

5) Because it's such a thin coat of glue you put on. You can almost immediately put the transfer foil on.
Cut a piece of transfer foil (nail size) and put it on your nail (shiny side up). Gently rob it and remove the transfer foil.
6) If there is any foil on your cuticles, this is easy to remove with some remover.
Finish it with a topcoat. Done!

In real it looks like a painting made by an artist who randomly gave it some brush stripes.

I love this easy and fast nail art! Do you?
